This beautiful Edwardian Diamond and Ruby snake ring is set in 18ct

yellow gold and fully hallmarked Birmingham 1905

It is a lovely Edwardian snake ring, which is steeped in English history.

Recently purchased in London, this love ring is set with two

intertwined serpents heads.

Serpent jewellery became popular during the early years of Queen

Victoria’s reign coinciding with the full flowering

of the Romantic Movement.

Serpents represent love, loyalty and friendship, what a lovely combination.

Each head is set with a gemstone, one being a Diamond and the other a Ruby.

The ruby is 0.15ct beautifully cut projecting a rich hue.

The ruby is considered to be the most powerful gem of the universe,

given as a gift, the ruby is a symbol of friendship and love.

Ruby is also the symbol of vitality and loyalty.

The Diamond is 0.10ct a lovely old cushion cut Diamond,

graded at SI 1/H Colour.
