This is a vintage agate gemstone beaded necklace. Which has hemisphere agate, elongate triangular agate, elongated barrels agate, and elongate square agate. All of the agate gemstones have a high glassy finish. There is many different types of agate stones, which are Fire Agate, Moss Agate, Lace Agate, Iris Agate just to name a few of them. Starting with the small agate at the claps and getting bigger as it goes to the center of the necklace. With clasp closed, the necklace is 20” long. The agate gemstones have a jewelries quality string thread throw the stones with the clasp tied at the ends. The agate gemstone necklace is from the 50s. However, these types of necklaces are still being made today and to date these types of necklaces are hard to do. My mother bought this necklace and she passed away in the early 50s.
